Joy is an educator with over 10 years of classroom and leadership experience. Not only is she an exceptional middle and high school teacher, she has extensive experience teaching and training adults and writing curriculum. Joy gained corporate test preparation experience while working in Kaplan’s national office writing lessons for their GRE product. Among her responsibilities at Kaplan was managing a team for freelance question writers whose main goal was to mirror the logic of question stems and answer choices to create the best practice tests possible. In the summer of 2012 Joy completed an education-entrepreneurship fellowship with 4.0 Schools where she traveled all over the country visiting high performing schools learning about their best practices, participated and pitched at the Bay Area’s Start-Up weekend, and trained other educators on design thinking and entrepreneurship. Joy’s experience and

Our clients benefit from Joy’s understanding of educational pedagogy, research-based instructional practices, and pragmatic standards-based planning; this creates an engaging and efficient test preparation experience.
